Savannah, GA and That Sweet Lemonade

Also, on our honeymoon we went to Savannah, GA and went to Paula Deen's restaurant ( ah-mazeballs, as Giuliana Rancic, would say) and went on a walking tour with Bobby. If you are ever going to Savannah I highly recommend contacting Bobby to give you a tour of the city. He is amazing!

The biscuit is to die for! And that lemonade, oh my goodness it is so good! I have made it at home and it taste just as good. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 gallon cold water
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Mint sprigs, for garnish

Directions

In a 1 gallon container, place sugar and hot water, and stir until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice and cold water to render 1 gallon. Stir until well mixed. Pour lemonade over glasses of ice, squeeze slice of lemon on top of each, and garnish with a sprig of mint.

We could not decide what to get, so we went to the buffet and it was amazing! We cannot wait to go back!!

Here are pictures from our tour

This was inside a church

In from of City Hall

And they filmed Forrest Gump right where we were standing

We had a great honeymoon and cannot wait to go back and just start traveling in general.
