Baked Potato Grilled Cheese!

Hello!

It's Thursday, almost the weekend! This weekend my husband are going to the mountains with our Life Group at church. It should be a fun weekend!

Oh did you notice anything!? I updated my blog, it looks so much better!

So, the other day I was on Facebook and through foodgawker I found a new recipe to try. I love that I am trying new recipes about once a week. This recipe should only be made maybe twice a year! So, so much fried and not so healthy ingredients. My husband asked is there anything healthy about this meal and the only thing I could think of was the cheese. Well, take a look....

Theses were so yummy! They tasted like restaurant french fries.

Oh my it was so good. But, I probably will not make it again for awhile, but I will probably make the french fries.

Have a great day!

Beer Chicken Tacos

Hello!

Today when I was checking my Facebook, I found this link...http://www.howsweeteats.com/2012/01/crockpot-cheddar-beer-chicken-tacos/ on Food Gawker. My husband and his best friend like beer, so I thought this would be a good meal to try. Right now my husband's best friend and his fiance are here visiting us! It is so great to have them here.

Here are some pictures of the Beer Chicken Tacos:

It was so good! I recommend you cooking it! So, the cooking time say 7-8 hours if you have all day and 4 hours if you do not have all day. Well, I decided to cook this at 4:00pm, so we would be eating at 8:00pm and I do not think that would have worked well for us. So, I cooked it for about one hour and forty-five minutes and then I shredded the chicken and let it soak for about 15 minutes to get a little bit more tender. ENJOY!!

Favorite Things...

Happy Thursday! It is almost the weekend! I am going post some of my favorite things from Pinterest...

I love the outfit. I have almost of these pieces in some form. I love how sometimes you have all the pieces, but never put them together until you see a picture. I will try strips with a floral scarf.

I cannot wait until summer time! Here in OR this week it has snowed lightly and now it is raining! And not just a mist, but a down pour. Shopping today was not fun!

I love this hair style and of course the flower. It reminded me of my hair style for my wedding, but I did not have a flower.

Pictures of family. It makes the house feel more homey.

OMG! I want this! I wish I could make my desk more organized. I try, but then it just gets all messy again.

These two pictures are not from Pinterest, but from my trip to Pier One Imports today...

I love these colors.

I thought this would be great for an entry way.

I hope you all have a great Thursday night!

Love,
Nicole

Chocolate Croissants

Hi!

Over the weekend my husband and I went into Trader Joe's just to look around and see if it some where would shop for our food. We are not the best at trying new things, but we thought we would step out of our comfort zone and take a look around. And we decided the next time we need to go food shopping we would go to Trader Joe's. When we were there I found these Chocolate Croissants I heard my mom talking and decided that they would not wait for the next shopping trip. So, that weekend we had some for breakfast and they were amazing. I urge you to go to Trader Joe's and buy some right now.

The box....

You get four of them.

See the chocolate!

They have to sit out for nine hours! Or just set them out of over night.

They rise as they sit out.

Sadly, I was too excited to bake and eat them that I did not take a picture! But, they are amazing, just the right amount of chocolate.

Enjoy!

It Snowed Today!

Hi Everyone!

Today we actually had snow that stuck to the ground, unlike Sunday where is melted as soon as it hit the ground. It is very peaceful watching the snow fall to the ground. Last night I told my husband if it is actually snowing outside when you wake up please wake me up too. He also said will you make pancakes for me if you get up to see the snow. And guess what! I got to see snow fall and he got yummy chocolate chip pancakes. It was a good morning.

Last week I did a full on cleaning of our apartment. The swift, windex, wood cleaner, Mr. Clean and paper towels were put to work. Since I was cleaning, I decided to change a few things around. Here are some pictures of the changes...

I took scrap book paper and put it into a picture frame. It has cooking phrases and items on it.

I got an Oregon Wine card the other day and decided to frame it and put it by our wine spot.

I decided to display our Joy of Cooking cook book. My goal is to look through it and flag some good recipes.

I framed my Paula Deen post card with a recipe on it. I also pick up these Valentine's Day blocks from the dollar section at Target.

Displayed our cookbook differently.

I got these post cards the other day and thought they would look good in our bathroom since it is beachy theme.

I hung the clock myself! It was a bit of a challenge, but i did it!

My plant from my mother-in-law. It is growing! I am not sure how since the box said to keep it somewhere where it 70 degrees and it is not always 70 degrees in this apartment.

I redecorated the bookshelf. It is one of my favorite things to do when I clean. I just love redecorating.

This week as already been such a busy week! I applied to ten jobs yesterday! Two said no. Sad. Today is Bible study and I am a little behind. This Friday our cousins are coming over to have a double date! And then on Saturday morning our couple best friends who just got engaged are coming to visit and staying until Tuesday! It going to be a good week! I hope all of you are having a good week so far. Happy Tuesday!
