Move In Weekend

This past weekend has been an exhausting one! We moved into our new place on Friday and it was an all day thing! But, the good thing is that we got almost everything in on Friday and some things trickled in throughout the weekend. But, boy do my feet hurt!

My mother-in-law gave us this beauty. We are going to hang it over our couch since we have so much wall space to cover.

I got blinds for our bedroom because the light in the morning was awful

I got this from my parent's house and it is where i am keeping my baking supplies

The first time I did laundry in a communal place. I am finally getting the college experience

This is the progress I made on my desk. My parents bought that desk for me when I was in the third grade! I still love it!

This is how our living room is coming

I got this ~~fake~~ plant at Ikea. I love it and it only cost around $6.00 for the pot and plant.

I also got this at Ikea for $10.00 and I am going to hang it behind the door in the shower area.

I got a shower curtain from Target. I love the apple green color of it.

When I first walked into our apartment on Friday morning I was terrified about how everything we owned would fit into a smaller place, but it is actually working out. I really have to say thank you to everyone who has helped us move in and has given us free furniture and decorating items. All the help has made this empty apartment feel like a home to M and I.

On a side note M starts his orientation this week and then starts law school next week! It is so crazy that it is finally here! I am so excited for him, if you think about it pray for him.

During my break from blogging we went to a wedding in Oxnard, California. It was a great wedding and a great get away for M and I. Here are a few pictures from the wedding:

It was on a large piece of land that a family owned and they had animals all over! The wedding took place outside on the lawn and the reception was inside a barn.

Back!

I took a break for awhile since life has been a little crazy lately. We went on vacation, moved to CA, I started working full-time, went to a destination wedding, M's birthday, packed up our things again, and tomorrow we are moving into our housing! We get the keys at 8:00am!

Target Bag

Target has a Facebook page called http://www.facebook.com/TargetStyle, and they give style tips and give aways! I got their Spring bag a couple months ago and just last week my summer bag arrived! It was full of hair products, a lip butter and coupons!

1. The bag everything was in, I am loving the little bags they send out.

2. TRESemme Split Rememdy- I cannot wait to try this, even thought it will not be for awhile since I just got a hair cut! No spilt ends on this head!

3. Revlon Lip Butter- Peach Parfait. They actually gave a very tiny sample, but I went to Target and bought the actual product, it cost about $6.00 and all the coupons I had for Revlon is cost me about $2!

4. Garnier Fructis Color Shield- I will give this to my mom since I do not color my hair

5. Aveeno Living Color- This is a color preserving shampoo and conditioner, and I will also give this to my mom

I love these bags and I cannot wait for their next give away!

Shopping in my Closet

I read two blogs daily, The Small Things Blog and From My Grey Desk Blog, and they have inspried me to go shopping in my closet. I have actually never worn these outfits, I spent about an hour and half going through my closet and making new outfits. It was really fun and I actually incorporated jewelry pieces I have not worn in awhile. You can read here about what they are doing...

This necklace is one of my new favorites, it was a Target find. I actually saw Kate from The Small Things Blog got hers from Target, so the next time I was at Target they had it on clearance, so I picked it up!
